Lead Scoring & Routing

Score leads. Route automatically. Stop losing inbound.

Pulse's scoring engine has five match types — including domain blocklist and intent signals — and round-robin routing with a persistent cursor that keeps the load fair. Inbound leads score, route, and reach the right rep in under 60 seconds.

5 match types

intent, company_size, title_contains, domain_blocklist, field-based. Combine for sophisticated scoring without writing code.

Round-robin with cursor

Persistent cursor distributes leads fairly across selected users. No 'first rep online wins everything' problem.

Domain blocklist

Never assign leads from competitors or junk domains. The match type bigger CRMs don't ship.

Anatomy

Every region, explained.

1

Scoring rules

Per-rule kind (intent / company_size / title / domain_blocklist / field), match JSON, points, active flag.

2

Lead score 0-100 + grade A-D

Composite score from all active rules. Grade band for at-a-glance triage.

3

Intent signals

Stored as jsonb on the lead. Page views, downloads, form fills, email clicks contribute.

4

AI note

Optional AI-generated note explaining why a lead scored where it did. Powered by Claude Haiku.

5

Routing rules

Conditions JSON + assign strategy (fixed / round_robin) + user list + priority. Rules evaluated by priority.

6

Round-robin cursor

Persistent per-rule cursor. Lead 1 → user A, lead 2 → user B, lead 3 → user A. Restartable, auditable.

Deep dive

Everything that's in the box.

Intent signal scoring

Weight prospects who show purchase intent: viewed pricing, downloaded a guide, attended a webinar. Stored as intent_signals jsonb.

Firmographic scoring

Score by company size, industry, annual revenue — pulled from Company record.

Title contains rule

If contact title contains 'VP' or 'Director', add N points. Simple matching that doesn't require ML training.

Domain blocklist

List of domains to auto-reject or de-score (competitors, throwaway emails, free domains for B2B contexts). Unique to Pulse among mid-tier CRMs.

Custom field scoring

Score on any tenant-defined custom field. Useful for vertical-specific signals (e.g. 'has decision authority?', 'has budget?').

Predicted value (USD)

Per-lead predicted_value_usd surfaces in inbox. Reps see expected $ next to each lead.

Routing rule priority

Rules evaluated by priority. Catch hot leads with the first rule, fall through to round-robin for the rest.

Lead source tracking

Per-source rollups: leads_30d, revenue_30d_usd, cost_30d_usd, avg_score. ROI by source visible in reports.
